League Information
The Toro Pool League is for current and retired Toro employees. The league is a casual style team competition of 8-ball. We utilize handicapping to make the league fun and fair for players of all skill levels. The league begins with a Fun Night that is open to all employees regardless of league involvement. This is a great opportunity for new players to get a feel for the league and for a little practice and socializing. After a regular season and playoff/positioning round, the league concludes with an Awards Night.
Dates: The Toro Pool League usually starts its season in mid to late October and runs into early March.
Start Time: League night is Monday and matches begin at 4:30pm and usually conclude by 6:30pm. Start time can vary by 10-20 minutes due to work hours and drive times. Please keep your teammates and opponents updated.
Location: Shooters Billiard Club & Café, 1934 State Hwy 13, Burnsville, MN 55337.
Cost: $360 per team for the season. This includes food on Fun Night and Awards Night along with individual trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams and Awards Night prizes. (accurate as of 10/27/25)
Teams: Teams are made up of 3 – 4 players with 3 players needing to participate each league night. We have substitute players that can fill in for an absent player on any team. Absentee scores can be utilized if a player is absent, and a sub cannot be found.
Format: Each week, the three players on your team will compete in a round-robin style 8-ball match against another team. Each player will play two games against every player on the opposing team, resulting in a total of 6 individual games per player per night. In one game, you will break (Home), and in the other, you will rack (Away).
Each team match consists of 6 rounds. Every round includes 3 games, with one game being played by each member of your team.
Scoring: Each match offers a maximum of 7 team points. Teams earn 1 point for winning a round, for a total of 6 possible round points. An additional bonus point is awarded to the team with the highest overall score for the match
